Nolan @ 11 months

During his 11th month:
-starting to stand alone for a few seconds at a time
-started 'cruising' halfway through the month
-loves the fruit and veggie pouches and can mostly self-feed
-loves bath time
-size 6-12 month and 9 month clothes; size 3 diapers
-Up for the day around 6:30am.  Naps at 9:30am and 2:00pm---then bed between 7:30-8:00pm.
-says 'mama', 'dada', 'baba'
-can turn on and off the light switch
-when the girls are playing in another room….he will go to find them.  one day the girls spent the afternoon at my mom's.  after his nap and had his bottle and played for a bit….he started walking into the hallway to find them even though they weren't there.  so sweet.

-loves being outside and to swing.

-loved by his sissies.

-can 'feed' the baby

-and when he does find the girls playing….he wants to be right in the middle of them.

Bluebonnets 2014

Last week, we took the kids to this park that had the most beautiful fields of bluebonnets I've ever seen!  The girls were giddy and Nolan liked them for about 5 minutes.  :)

I really don't think we've even taken bluebonnets pictures since Parker was 2.  So….we were due.  I dressed them in their Easter attire and we were off.  I wish I would have gotten dressed and taken a few with them.  Maybe next year.

Sweet Grace.  Trying to soak in her little-ness because she is just growing up too fast. She's smaller than Parker, and so I notice that she's still small.  Yet next to Nolan…she's so much bigger.
I digress.  And ramble on...

They had so much fun running through the fields of wildflowers.  Wouldn't you?

His new squishy face sort of smile.

This girl.  How is she getting so big?  Just beautiful.

Being silly.

These 2 don't always get along, but they do love each other (even when they don't want to admit it!)  So blessed and thankful that they have each other.

Love this one.

My handsome little man.

100 days smarter!

A couple of weeks ago, Parker celebrated her 100th day of Kindergarten.  I was able to be there for part of her day and enjoyed getting to see all of the kids in action.

They made these 100 days smarter crowns…10 strips of paper with 10 dots = 100.

The students were divided into groups and visited 4 separate centers.  Here…they had 100 cups and were challenged to stack them all into one structure.  I was impressed with their skills!

They used a 100s counting mat and counted out 100 fruit loops and strung them to make a necklace.

And their 1-0-0 day snack!

For writing…they made a portrait of themselves and were to make a bucket list of things they'd do before they were 100 years old.  I'm not sure if she just didn't have enough time or what….but the only thing she had on her list was to go to Disney World.  Hopefully we can make that happen again!  :)

And they also did a "if I had $100" writing prompt which I think turned out so cute.  And, of course, the only thing she wanted to buy with her $100 is an American girl doll.

Since before Christmas she has wanted one, and so I think we will get her one for her birthday in September.  She reminded me just today that she will not forget and does not want me to forget that she really wants one for her birthday.  And I hope she loves it because the anticipation will have built up for over 9 months!

spaghetti!

Last week I made Nolan some noodles with spaghetti sauce and really chopped 'em up.  I always feed him things like this with a spoon/spork and he has no problem with this {so far!}.  But for some reason….right before the bowl was empty…I started putting the spaghetti right on his tray.

And he LOVED it!

That squishy hand!!

This boy.  Those eyes.
