and when I asked for one together….

Grace and I attempted our first day of pre-K while Parker was at school.  Right now we are doing Confessions of a Homeschooler's Letter of the Week.  I hope to write more about this soon!

Once we finished up morning lessons and lunch…we took a quick trip to Hobby Lobby and the library to check out 'A' books.

During Nolan's afternoon nap…we baked cupcakes!  Our back-to-school cupcakes.  And Grace just soaked it up.  She kept asking, "Do I get to do this?"  And this?"  It was so fun for her to be able to do it all and not take turns.

I opted to make mini cupcakes….and this is the way to go!  And dangerous.  Because you can just pop one whole mini cupcake in your mouth.  Again.  And again.  And again.  The deal is…it's the perfect ratio of cake to icing.  And it's SO good.  Between the 5 of us…we ate 22 out of 48 for dessert after dinner.  Wow.

And there you have it.  The first day.

summer-ending

well..we spent the week having a visit to the pool, doing laundry, playing….just trying to get our ducks in a row for this coming week.

Before church last Sunday.  It's so funny…Nolan knows just what to do.  He'll walk up to the wall, turn around, and back up against it.  And then smiles!  Love these 3 so much it hurts.

And last Sunday was an extra special treat because Geoff was able to go to church with us.

We also did a little bit of this…..time out.  :)  These sisters love each other one minute and are bickering the next!

Sweet boy proud to have his shoes on.

And even sweeter when he sleeps.

Caught red-handed!

Geoff is so sweet to free-hand these Rainbow Rocks Equestria Girls for the girls to color.

Sisters sharing lemonade at the farmer's market.

Family Vacation: Galveston 2014- Day 4

On our last full day in Galveston…we spent the morning at the beach.
Followed by lunch and naps.
Then a trip to the Moody Gardens Aquarium.
We picked up Whataburger for dinner and ate at the condo.
Then enjoyed one last game night.

Grace wasn't really into the beach.  Mostly because I think she is afraid of sharks.  So after some time in the water with Parker…Geoff took her seashell searching.

Nolan eventually needed a nap…so Geoff walked him along the beach in the stroller.  He ended up sleeping about an hour which was good.

______

_______

During game night….Grace climbed up into Geoff's lap and helped him play.  I just love all of these faces she's making here.  And I love how great Geoff is with our children.

________

Our last morning…these girls were tired

 One last family picture.

We had a great time.  It was a lot of work with the babies and all, but so worth it.
Vacations are good that way.  :)
