Lunch at Granny's..

Today-- Aunt Sister, Parker, and myself took a trip to visit our Granny. She made chicken and dumplings...and let me just say...they were dee-licious! Parker really seemed to enjoy them as well. We put her in this high chair that my Papaw had made many years ago.

The only bad thing about it is that it didn't really have a strap to hold her in....so instead, Granny suggested that we use this hand towel. I couldn't get it to work, without squishing her stomach, but Granny made it work perfectly. I thought it was great!

Then this is a picture of everyone before we said our goodbyes...

And here is a (bad) picture of Parker giving Granny a kiss (so sweet). It's only a 'bad' picture because I was at a bad angle to where you can't really see what was going on. And, of course, as soon as I got to the good angle, Parker was done giving her kisses.

Nonetheless, we all had a really great time. And I know we always say this, but we should definitely do it more often!

We have a visitor...

This is Lily...

We got her in April of 2006, about a month after we got married. Long story short...after we had Parker, we felt a little overwhelmed with 2 dogs and a new baby in our home. So my cousin, Julie, and her family were kind enough to take her in and give her a wonderful home (we are so thankful for this). So Lily has been living with them since right before Christmas. And now we have the privilege of dog-sitting her this week while they are on vacation. I'm pretty sure she remembers us, and Lola actually seems happy to see her, too (which was not always the case when she lived with us...when we brought Lily home as a little, cute puppy, Lola had to compete for the attention!) Anyway- we are thrilled to have her back in our home.
