Friday in Photos

So.....I had a looooong week at work with all of the ice and such.....and so on Friday it was as if I had to make up for my absence....and I ended up taking over 400 photos that day.

Good thing for you.....I am only posting just over 90. Haha. (Seriously- I did count....so if that makes you want to click out of my blog for the day- I completely understand. I am going to try to keep it in as few words as possible, but you know how that goes, too.

This photo was taken right outside of our garage. But I really think we got closer to 5-6 inches here.

Sending Daddy off to work.....

Attempting to change Grace out of her jammies and into clothes can be a challenge. She thinks it's such a fun game to run away from me. ;)

I love the pics when the kids are all laying on the floor with their heads beside each other- and I was just taking a chance trying to get these- but the girls, surprisingly, got a huge kick out of it.

I think this next one is my favorite (of the several I took).......and I must tell you .....I did NOT arrange Lovey in this shot. She wasn't in all of them- so at some point Parker must have pulled it up beside them....I don't think on purpose, but I absolutely love this shot!

Parker had just kicked Grace down.......and I don't think it hurt her because it took her a minute. But she sat up....and poked out that lower lip.

I was getting lunch ready and telling Parker to come sit down at the table when she left the room telling me she was ready to go outside. I continued to prepare lunch....telling Parker over and over how we were not going to go outside until after Grace went down for her afternoon nap.

Only- this 3 year old has a mind of her own and had gotten all of these clothes/outerwear on by herself. ;)

And since she had done it all on her own.....I let her go. But she had to go by herself.

I loved just watching her jump and skip about. She was truly in her own little world. And there's something precious about a little one doing this. And just in experiencing that which we rarely experience......and might not again for years to come (although I am thinking we will be seeing it again sooner than later! :)

Grace's lunch:

Parker's lunch:

Her steps are transitioning into smoother strides as each day passes, but she still has those falls!

And back up again!!!! She has to try to keep up with big sis. ;)

Grace found this hat and brought it to me.....whining until I put it on her.

She has been doing this lately when I ask her to smile......just opening her mouth right up!

She's doing it again here. Cracks me up!

I also wanted to update you all and let you know that I am now officially a day coffee drinker. For the past 7 years I have usually only had my ONE cup of coffee a day. Now- if I can.....I like a cup in the afternoon. And I usually 'crave' it after lunch......and while I am at work. Does this mean I am getting older? Nah.....I think it just means I am getting tired-er. But maybe that's a result of my oldness?? Ok- moving on.

This has to be one of the funniest things I seen lately, though. Grace will bring us Parker's princess shoes and whine and fuss and carry on until we put them on her. On this day- she could only find one- so she was actually successful.....walking all around for a good 15 minutes or so. She'd fall and then whine and bring it back to me until I put it on. Repeat.

After Grace went down for her morning nap- I held true to my promise and took Parker back out in the snow. The only things we had for her hands are these mittens that are not water proof. So I put her in Geoff's waterproof gloves......and although they are much too big.....I think she really liked them because her hands were not freezing and we actually stayed out for about 20 minutes or so.

And the thing that made me laugh the most was how much she would eat the snow!!

We came in and made a snow man and played with the Snowflake Matching game from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

Then it was snack time!

Parker and I made edible Peanutbutter Snowballs.

Mix it all together and roll in powdered sugar.

Right here- she's saying, "Can I eat it???"

She tried eating with her fingers first...but then....

...said 'forget it!.'
