Pumpkin Carving with Parker.

Although- I'm not really quite sure that is an appropriate title....

This is all pretty hilarious to me.

Here she is sitting patiently next to Geoff.....awaiting this "carving pumpkins" we keep talking about...

After that....she doesn't really seem phased at all....but just goes about business as normal....

Ok- so now it's Mommy's turn!! I thought maybe (I didn't really think it would matter)...just maybe, if she saw me getting messy with the pumpkin that she would become interested as well.

Nahhhh! That girl....she's a talker! Not sure who/where she gets that from. hehe

And the finished products!!! (Geoff's 'scary' one is on the left....and my 'happy' one is on the right.)

And my favorite....Geoff did a great job carving out her name. I must say- I was very impressed. I did not realize my husband possessed such skills! :)

Halloween Past and Present

Halloween Past:

Parker- 2007 (6 weeks old)--Our Little Pumpkin

Parker- 2008 (13 months old)-- Our Little Hershey's Kiss

Parker 2009- (2 years old)--Our Little Cupcake

I have big plans for the day....

UPDATE: Well- surprise, surprise! I didn't quite get to everything I had wanted to. In fact- I didn't really finish anything at all.

I was going to make these Nutter Butter ghosts, but inadvertently bought the Nutter Butter Cream Puff thingies instead, so that idea went out the window. I improvised and used Oreos....they're not as ghostly cute....and I ran out of stamina after putting eyes and mouths on about 5 (lazy, I know)....


so I just covered the rest with the almond bark. They're still pretty tasty, though.


Then I got about this far with these candy corn rice krispies treats...


As you can see....not so productive.

It was a combination of Parker "helping" me....

....and then her not wanting to "help" me and play in the water instead.....and me being tired and de-motivated to complete what I had planned!

So.....new plan: try to finish some more of this baking on Saturday!

My new best friend....

27 weeks and counting...

Today- I am 27 weeks pregnant....that's a little over 6 months. She is due in just 3 short months from now (January 25th, 2010)!

I am still feeling good. However....I am beginning to notice that I am slowing down. I can't do as much or push myself as hard as I did just 2 weeks ago. It could be from the pregnancy...but mostly I think it's from nursing school because I think I would feel this way regardless. I'm still blowing and going, but am trying to pace myself a little more just to take a little bit better care of myself (and her, of course).

Geoff wasn't here today to take my belly photos, so I decided to do it myself. These are as good as they get!

a few favorite pictures from today.

We spent most of the day today taking pictures of Parker and Payton...from Halloween pics...to 2nd birthday pics....to 6 months pics....Christmas pics....and family pics. So tonight- I am going to post a few of her '2 year photos.'

It was an exceptional challenge taking pictures of Parker. She's not one for smiling on cue....which is nothing new!

So we decided to let her just sit in her chair and do one of her favorite things....'reading' books.

When we began....she had specific plans for where I needed to sit.

Then she started throwing the books at me.....
