Easter 2014

Well..I've made it a full month of no blogging!  It wasn't necessarily an intended break… but I am trying to make priorities and not spread myself so thin….and so blogging made its way to the bottom of the list.  I have quite a few things I want to get posted on here for memories' sake so I'm hoping to get caught up here over the next week or so.

The Friday before Easter we did some Easter egg coloring.

Bub did some playing outside…but opening and shutting the back door was his favorite thing to do.

________

The Easter bunny was good to the girls and gave them Elsa and Anna swimsuit, beach towel, and flip flops.  Nolan got some new snack puffs and little bath bubble blower (that did not work!).

Geoff had to work and the girls were really good on this morning to get ready without complaining and just did everything I asked the first time I asked.  Yay!!  We even made it to early service which started at 8:10!

After church, we spent the rest of the day at my mom's house.  I tried to get a good picture of the kids, but it just wasn't happening.  I wasn't too concerned since we had just gotten quite a few good ones at the bluebonnet patch.

Baby's First Easter…and he looked too cute in his suit.

I think this picture is my favorite from the day.

After a wonderful lunch- Kristin, Phil, and Poppa hid the Easter eggs outside.  This year- we decided to number the eggs with a 1, 2, or 3.  Each girl had their own number…I can't remember who was what…but basically Parker would get all of the 1s, Grace all of the 2s, and Payton all of the 3s.  It helped it to be more of a 'hunt' and lasted a little longer.  This also helped with them all ending up with the same amount.

Nolan napped, but this cutie came out for a a bit to watch.

And their favorite part…..eating the candy!

A very blessed Easter…celebrating the most important thing…that Jesus died for our sins so that we could live one day with Him forever.

Here lately I've struggled a lot with sin and falling short of His glory every single day.  And just feeling not good enough (which I'm not!) to deserve salvation.  And it's true.  There is nothing we can DO to secure our place in heaven.  All we have to do is BELIEVE.  And realizing that God sent His Son even though He already knew how much I (and you!) would fall short….shows us again His unfailing love for us.  And that's just pretty amazing.
