10 on 10 :: February 2015

Ten on Ten: 10 pictures for 10 hours on the 10th of the month.  

Everything in me wants to write little (long) blurbs about each picture.  Because that's what I do.  

But today…I'm just going to let my pictures do the talking.

11 on 11

so…i had initially planned on doing 10 on 10….where you take a photo for 10 hours on the 10th of the month and then share them here.  well that didn't happen.  so then i was going to do 11 photos on the 11th.  and i still only ended up with 10.   so oh well...I'm going to share them regardless.  :)

+early morning trip to the grocery store.  i tried to beat the kids up and be out the door and back before they woke up.  but they came out of their room right as i was about to sneak out.

but still….a virtually empty grocery store with no little ones in tow.

+while nolan napped- i took the girls to the pool.  parker is really impressing me.  i guess she's at that age and skill level where she can now swim and do and go as she pleases.

+after lunch, i took the girls to my sister's, and nolan and i ran up to costco.  this is the 'cheese' face he makes…seriously….all on his own when i pull out my phone or camera.

+picked up fruit at costco.  so yummy and fresh and colorful in the summertime.

+sweet boy.  

+we've had frozen shrimp in our fridge for i don't even know how long.   and around 3:30pm this afternoon…we were still trying to figure out dinner.  so we shopped our freezer and decided on tilapia and shrimp…both things that would thaw quickly.  and so glad we did.  so so so so good.

+he loved the corn!

+and after a fairly healthy meal…it's only appropriate to follow with dessert.

+and this pile of laundry.  while it can definitely be overwhelming at times….so thankful for it.

for the people who's laundry it is.  and for clean water and a washer & dryer to clean them.

Ten on Ten :: March 2014

This is my favorite 10 on 10 I've done thus far.  (take 10 pictures…one every hour for 10 hours on the 10th of the month) and then link up over here.  In trying to find the 'beauty in the everyday'…sometimes I think I tried too hard.  To get a 'perfect' shot.  So today, I took a different approach.  I did not keep an eye on the clock.  I didn't hold myself to every. single. hour. like there was this pressure to instantaneously take a picture so that it would be within that specific hour.  But you know what?  I think I ended up doing just about that….a picture an hour for 10 hours.  And it was a good day.

-A picture of a picture from our wedding day.  Tomorrow we celebrate 8 years of marriage.

-Two girls.  Sitting on our coffee table.  Watching the extra features provided by our digital copy of Disney's Frozen…..their favorite right now.  All of the versions of Let it Go…..in 3 different languages.  They're mesmerized.

-St. Patrick's day themed muffin tin meal.

-My 3 swinging.  It was a beautiful day today.

-A visit to the library.

-Putting together a few puzzles while Nolan was napping.

-Watermelon.  One of the fruits the girls will eat.  ;)

-A napping boy that I had to wake up this afternoon.  The time change.  It's only an hour.  I realize this  But I have been turned around all day.

-Outside again.  And he loves to swing.

-The girls' crafts from last week now displayed.

+early, early morning start with this guy.  that's all right.  he's kinda cute.

+sisters.  a little woody the wood pecker on the iPad over a bowl of rice krispies

+first homeschool 'assignment' of the day. learning addition.  removing seeds from apples.

+taking seeds...and adding.  :)

+my 'just because' flowers from Geoff from earlier in the week.  so very blessed by him (and not just because of these flowers, but ALL that he does).

+her favorite thing these days.  playing school.  (not to be confused with 'going' to school.  haha!)

+afternoon at the library.

+apples.  for math.  and for an apple pie.

+me and my girls.

+my baby boy.  sitting up like a big boy.
