Making breakfast a little more fun.

Parker used to love eating her pancakes or waffles....she'd dip them in syrup....and she'd eat them so well.

Well....she's 2, you know...and so with that comes with some challenges at times. She no longer wants to eat the pancakes or waffles. She started "eating" them with powdered sugar, but what we discovered is that the only thing that really involved "being eaten" was the powdered sugar. Not the pancake or waffle.

So this morning I thought I'd try something new. I've seen it done before, but I've never done it. I thought, "Maybe if she gets to cut out her pancake in the shape of a snowman it will be more appetizing?"

And it did work! Kind of.

She didn't eat as much as I think she should eat....but she ate more than nothing! :)

I think I am just realizing that sometimes she's just not that hungry..... and so we don't force it.

At least that's my parenting philosophy today. Tomorrow could be completely different! :)

Great idea. I've done some cheese sandwiches like that before for the kids, and they loved it. Kids are just smarter than we are, let's face it huh?
