Letter of the Week: S!!

Well...I must admit....we did not even get through 1/3 of what I had planned for the letter S...and I was even hesitant on posting what little we did do! But decided to nonetheless.

And never fear....we are continuing with letter S this week!!

I got this idea from No Time For Flash Cards.

We made a Sparkling S.....and added Sparkling Stars!!

Painting the Stars!

We had to wait until the next day to glue the Stars (due to all of our Sparkling glitter paint that we had to let dry!!). :)

Love this pic!

We made S'more bars to celebrate the letter S!

She loves to help me in the kitchen. Mostly because she loves to eat whatever it is!!

I love these next 2 pictures because we were telling her to smile.....but she could hardly be bothered with all of that crust dough in her mouth!!

Daddy came to help out....

This recipe is from the Betty Crocker website. The crust is one package of sugar cookie mix and 1 cup of graham cracker crumbs...whisked together. Then add 1 cup melted butter. Stir until all mixed up...then lay out in 13x9 pan. Place in a 375 oven for about 18-20 minutes.

Once out of the oven.....pour the 3 cups of milk chocolate morsels over the top. Allow to melt for 3-5 minutes....then spread.

Cover with 4 and a half cups of mini marshmallows. Place in oven 5-6 inches under the broiler for just a little while until the marshmallows are roasted!

S

Slinky!! She always loves a good Slinky!

What a bright and endearing smile she has!

My oldest is beyond letter crafts, and the youngest not there yet, but I am definitely filing your ideas away for later. After all, what little girl wouldn't like a good sparkle!? Thanks for posting =)

I have the same problems so many weeks. I just can't get done as much as I want to ... esp. with tot school activities. This is turning out to be one of those weeks for me!

Well it really doesn't get any better than s'mores, slinkies, and the smiles that go along with them, does it?

And don't feel bad about not starting your new babies first year scrapbook. I haven't finished my first babies first year. And she's 9. And a half. Thankfully her life is all nicely organized digitally on a nice external hard drive. I think next I'm going to just do all their birthdays. That's only 11 layouts. And thankfully some of my oldest are already done the old fashioned way. So really I only have 7. LOL
