Nolan @ 2 months

 Against my will....Nolan is now 2 months old.  :)  Time slows down for no one and no thing!

He's still soaking up his role as little bother.  And while the girls still love him so much...they are not as 'in his face' as they used to be and that is SO nice.  When I bring Nolan into the room, Grace will say, "Hey buddy!" in the cutest most sweetest voice.

He's still nursing about every 2 hours during the day (boo!)....BUT....he has been sleeping more like 7-10 hours straight at the night.  Sooooo....I can't really complain too much.  I talked with the pediatrician about it today...and she mentioned how boys do tend to eat 'more'.....and that he's probably just taking an extra feeding during the day since he's kind of skipping one at the night.  It was just good to hear (even though I think I already knew, but started to doubt myself) that this is all normal.  That it will eventually pass.  And there's not really much else I can do different.

When I put him down for a nap....he's pretty good about letting me lay him down drowsy, but awake.... and usually doesn't make a noise.  And if he does...it's not very loud and not for very long.  But then he wakes up around 45 minutes later.  And he's still tired.  And fussy.  Sometimes I can hold him and he'll go right back to sleep.  Other times he'll just fight it and be fussy.  Thus enters the feeding every 2 hours.  :)

But he's pretty cute.  So I'll keep him.  :)  I love kissing those squishy cheeks.

This afternoon he had his 2 month well visit.  I asked quite a few questions...mostly about his sleeping and eating pattern (or lack, thereof, ha!)...but other than that...he's doing well.

He's now weighing in at 11lbs, 13 oz and in the 50th percentile.

He's 24 inches long and in the 90th percentile!  (up from the 75th percentile at 2 weeks old)

Sweet boy.

We ended up having to wait about 30 minutes before the doctor came in....so there was a lot of me walking around...and bouncing....and some time spent staring at ourselves in the mirror.  :)

He got 3 shots and one oral vaccine.  Poor baby....I've never seen his face get so red!

He was asleep by the time we got to the car and stayed asleep for an hour and a half.  He was worn out!

Later this evening, we put him under the play mat for the first time.  And he really seemed to like it.  Yay!  :)
