Like mother, like daughter....

I am usually comparing how Parker is so much like her Daddy. But today...it's how she is like me. :)

I love Mexican food. I have said before that I think that chips and salsa should be their own food group.

And apparently....it just might be possible...that my daughter feels the same way!

This is not her first time eating chips and salsa as a 19 month old. Nope. She has been eating them for at least a month now....so at least since she was 18 months old...and maybe before that...the days seem to run together....

It wasn't that I just thought, "Hey! I think I am going to make my very young toddler eat chips and salsa because it would be neat?" But it was after she insisted...and then insisted...and on more than 1 occasion...that I gave in and let her try. I figured she would figure out that she didn't like it, and that would be it! But I was wrong. She loves the stuff!

These pictures are from one night this week when my sister was here and we were going to eat lasagna. But the lasagna was still a little over an hour from being ready (which can seem like an eternity when you are really hungry like we were!)...so we decided to eat the left over chips and salsa from the night before.

And since my sister and I were just standing in the kitchen eating our little snack...and Parker wanted to partake in the eating as well...I just sat her on the counter while we stood right there beside her.....

She dips her chip into the salsa....

...and she likes to suck off all of the salsa....

...and then actually eat the chip every now and then....

Jackson and Parker need to have a chips and hot sauce date!

Once at Chilis when he was about 16 months (I only remember that because I was very pregnant) we gave him some of our chips, but then he reached across the table to dip the chip in the hot sauce. He acted like it was something he did everyday. He knew exactly what to do. He would suck it off too. They would probably be happy drinking it from a cup.

Landree and Parker could hang out for dinner. She's been eating chips and hot sauce forever! She scoops it up. Our friends think it's so funny! I just think she's a Texas baby at heart!
