Our Easter

We had a pretty laid back, but great day today....

I guess Easter just kind of snuck up on me. I mean- I knew that it was Easter and all...but I just didn't really plan very well for the Easter bunny and all of that fun stuff....so the Easter Bunny brought her this....

It's so exciting....I know....

But thanks to the grandparents.....Parker did not go without....

Parker was spoiled by my mom and stepdad yesterday. They brought her an Easter basket full of some really great stuff....

I think she still needs some more time to warm up to that baby doll....but I think she is really going to like this bubble blower thingie. I don't even think that she knows what it is...but she really wanted us to open it up for her to play with. And even threw a little fit last night before bedtime because we would not open it then. She was really tired, though....and you know how that goes.... So- we're looking forward to trying those out tomorrow!

Then, today, my dad and stepmom gave her this basket full of some really great stuff, too....

And she decided to go ahead and play with the sidewalk chalk that they gave her right away....

We also had dinner at my mom's house. Parker seemed to really enjoy her strawberry cupcake that I made this weekend....

Except....she would get a little ancy every few minutes because she doesn't really like the sticky icing on her hands...

But then I would say, "It's ooookaaaaay." And she'd buy into that for a minute or so and continue with the cupcake's demise...

The cake on her hands doesn't really seem to be bothering her here....

I guess it was bothering her again here....

She's a mess! But a good mess!

And lastly- we did have an Easter photo session. But.....but it was horrible!!! She was cute and all (of course)....but the lighting, the background, the photographer (me)...was not good. So- the plan is to hopefully get some better pictures of her outside sometime this week (or perhaps, more realistically, the next week) of her in her Easter dress. And also- we will be doing our egg hunt later this week, too. Geesh- is it even worth it at this point? Oh well. Thanks for your patience. I know you are just dying to see!

But I did decide to post this picture because, although it is nowhere near one of her best, there was just something about it that said, "Post me!" And so I did....
