Displaying Her Arts and Crafts

Since Parker has been doing more crafts lately....I was having trouble figuring out what to do with them. I hated to just throw them away as soon as she was finished (although I do not think she would have minded)....but then they just kept stacking up on the counter (and I do not like clutter......which.....I guess you really wouldn't be able to tell that I do not like clutter by looking at my house). Anyway.....

I decided to hang up these Command hooks by 3M because a) they hold on strongly, b) come off cleanly, and c) no surface damage (and yes.....I got that right off the box!).

Then attached craft rope and these mini clothes pins (that are too cute, in my opinion).

I placed them right under a part of our bar area. It faces our kitchen table.

Parker loves seeing her art work. And it's at her eye level.

And now....when we are doing something new....she will say...."And when we're all done, we can hang it up!! And show Daddy!!"

When people (i.e. grandparents) visit....they love to see her work, too. And they always ask her about what's up there.....which she also loves.

Another thing I like about this arrangement is.....that if ever I needed to pick the house up and make it less kid-like (i.e. if we were ever to throw an adult party).....I could always take the crafts and rope down. I could probably leave up the hooks because I don't think they would be very noticable...OR...I could always just take them down and put them back up with the extra sticky things that come in the package.

So....there's nothing permanent. It's cheap and easy. And my child loves it. That's an A+ in my book!

You are good! I actually ordered something similar from PBK and received it the other day. But now, after seeing yours, I kind of wished I would had been more thrifty and made something myself. Very cute!
