Fruit Loop Sort {printable}: Toddler Learning Activity

This past week was a busy one! My niece, Payton, was here with us for some time everyday because my sister was not feeling well. With that said.....we I didn't really get around to planning her activities, much less getting anything done.

She did do some painting and playing with her sand and seashells texture box....but I already posted pictures of those activities last week and the week before last.

But we did get one activity in this afternoon. It is a sorting activity.

Geoff took her to ride her tricycle all around the neighborhood after her nap. They were gone for about an hour....and since it was hot and I knew she'd be hungry when she got home....I set out a bowl of Fruit Loops.

I also set out this printable Fruit Loop Sorting page (see below). I also plan to laminate (or rather, cover with contact paper) so that we can use this again in the future!

I asked her if she wanted to play a game, and she said so excitedly, "Yes, Momma. I want to play a game!" And ran straight to the table.

I got her started by putting a few fruit loops on the right color. She quickly caught on!

She continued to enjoy eating them, as well!

If you would like to download and print this "Fruit Loop Sort" page.....click here.

Or...I believe if you click the image below it will allow you to download it, as well. I have never used this before and am hoping that you will be able to download it without having to join www.acrobat.com. Please let me know if you have any problems. Thanks!

I saw a similar M&M sort on a blog I came across, but did not know where it came from. I have since discovered that....you can print your own M&M sort (similar to this Fruit Loop Sort) at Confessions of a Homeschooler. I just 'discovered' this site a few days ago and am LOVING it! She has hundreds of free downloads!!

I, too, was unable to download the game page. I wanted to use it for children's church on Sunday. We have a mixed class of toddlers and preschoolers and this would be perfect for the toddlers while the preschoolers do something a bit more difficult. Could you email it to me, please?
