This photo is actually from last week...and all of the vegetables I got from my friend's co-op.....but we were still reaping the benefits this week!
In addition to all of the other stuff we made....Geoff made some nutritious and delicious eggs.....

So we're bringing back the French braid at our house. ;)
This was my first attempt at Parker's hair and I had to laugh and take a picture. Yes- I let her go into public this way. Good news is...I have improved drastically. But this does tend to add at least 10 minutes to our getting ready time.

Monday morning the girls slept in. It was glorious. ;) They had a busy weekend and they must have been worn out! This never happens.

Parker has been a great helper this week helping me paint our kitchen chairs. I do have to go behind her because she get SO much on her brush. But we need to get this stuff done. And I remember what it was like when I was little....I always wanted to paint. It just looked so fun.
I just take lots of deep breaths and try really hard to go behind her and fix some things. Worst case....we sand and repaint.

Doing some butterfly crafts during Grace's nap time....
Our last caterpillar finished it's morph into a butterfly this afternoon. I think this one turned out to be the prettiest one....

We had a garage sale this past weekend and I suppose I am still in cleaning out mode. I had been holding onto a lot of the old classic books....some of which I am sure the girls will read in high school or college. But in an effort to clean and make a little extra money....I've decided to try to sell them at Half-Priced Books. While I am old-school and still love to read a real book (when I make the time!)...I am pretty sure that my girls will be reading these books on an e-reader 10-15 years from now. So really- what's the point in keeping them?

Momma's lap is a hot commodity at times. I have to laugh (on the inside) because sometimes it's a competition as to who can get into my lap first....and then keep the other out. I always tell them there's room for both of my girlies...but they still try. On this particular day, Grace made it there first....set smack dan in the middle of my lab and spread her legs to cover all extra space in my lap....thus leaving no room for Parker. So funny.

In our house....Geoff and Parker are the best finders. I cannot find a thing to save my life, most times. It can be right in front of me and I just can't see it. I don't deny that this is true. It's just the way I am. The way I've always been. :)
Well- Geoff was missing his longhorns hat....and Parker found it one afternoon while Geoff was at work. I picked up my phone and she quickly put the hat on....then turned it around just like you see in the picture all on her own. She was so proud. And I was, too!
The next morning she could not wait to wake up Geoff to show him his hat.
__________
And tonight....bless her heart. She usually stays in her room and plays or reads while I put Grace to bed. I guess I took a little longer than normal because when I walked out of Grace's room....there was Parker. Asleep. Bless her little heart. She was worn out!! I had mentioned that our bedtime seems to be getting later and later. Well- so has mine! And so today I wore them out. We were busy, busy. My goal: 8pm bedtime. And I'm happy to report.....goal met: 7:45pm. ;)
But still...bless her heart.

I had to comment on the lap thing because my girls are the SAME WAY. They fight over my lap; it's so crazy!
Nice pics. So patient of you to let your little on help with the painting. I am terrible with braiding too. Enjoy your week!
