Today was really a good day. I'm at the front end of 2 weeks off from work and I couldn't be more thrilled. My whole attitude seems to have changed in the past 36 hours since I've been 'off' of work. I've been soaking up my girls....and....today- I felt like they were soaking me up, too.
The day started off with waffles, fresh strawberries, and turkey bacon.
Then I told the girls we needed to get dressed to go pick up our fruits and veggies from the co-op.
Grace runs out of her room and tells me that she can't find her 'bow-weh tutu".
Parker disappears and returns with said ballet tutu.
I help her put in on. Geoff and I are talking small talk...eating our breakfast....drinking our coffee. And I look down to see Grace.....with her tutu on....and most importantly....her shoes. Working in the kitchen.
I looked up at Geoff mid-conversation and there was a pause. And I mouthed, "that's just the cutest thing ever."
You know- one of those moments when you both look at each other...then at your kid...and are filled with this overwhelming joy that just goes beyond any other feeling you could ever have....and you pray that you never forget that small little moment in time.
She looked at me and said, "All done, Momma!"
It doesn't really get sweeter than this....

At one point this evening- we were walking from the living room to the hallway then into the bathroom...and Parker said, "Hold my hand, Momma!" So I did. And then she said, "Let's move our legs like this." And so together....we skipped to the bathroom hand-in-hand.
And after they brushed their teeth. Parker started hanging on me {in a sweet way- not an annoying way, if you know what I mean}, so I picked her up. She wrapped her legs around my waist and buried her head in my neck and said, "I been missin' you while you were at work." Honey- I've been missin' you too.
