Our Christmas Crafts and Activities

I realize Christmas is long past (just over a month)...but since I made the effort to take the pictures I thought I might as well post them.

One day I was brave and let them make a huge mess with water and their tea set.  I know it's so fun for them and it's only water...but at the end of their play session I always wonder why I did it.  ;)

Some foam sticker activities....

My favorite thing I did this year was make them their own Christmas activity notebooks.....I printed this  cover and got the entire idea from 1+1+1 and most of the printables in the notebook...

Parker would take her own initiative and do activities in them at random times....while watching TV...while I was cooking.  She did most everything in her notebook.  Grace wasn't as interested but I wanted to have one for her, as well.  She just had different printables...

...and some coloring pages...

Sorting printable...

And some gingerbread babies with upper and lower case letters that she matched....

Love the fact that they are so interested in these things. The look on Parker's 'intense' face! She just really loves learning new things. So does Grace! Makes me smile.

Christmas is such a great time for learning activities! One of my favorites is to use the nativity figures for learning about the Christmas story. It is fun to move them around the house every day as they "walk" toward Bethlehem. Grandma does that with her Advent calendar. She also has lessons and games that go with the nativity figures. You'll find them here:

Blessings!
