Valentine's Countdown {free printable}

I made this printable last year, but was so far behind that I never printed them out.  And I actually forgot about them...and then just kind of stumbled upon them again last week when I was looking for something else.

Parker loves the countdown.  I figured she would, but it wasn't until we did our Christmas advents and then our Disney World countdown that it makes me just want to do countdowns all the time (not really all the time!).  She loves the visual and seeing the days we have left til something special happens.  It's fun for me to watch her get into it....and even practice with seeing/identifying numbers, counting, and subtracting (with counting how many we have left til, etc).

I just printed the numbers out on card stock, cut them out (I made them squares for easy cutting), and taped/glued them to these white party sacks from Hobby Lobby (full price is $1.99 for a pack of 12, but you could use a 40% off coupon as  well).  The bags are filled with 2 chocolates (1 for each girl each day) just for a little fun.  I didn't want to have to come up with activities or anything.  Just simple, easy, and fun.

This countdown will be a little different than the others in that....it will actually be counting down.

I started with 13 (we are starting February 1st)...and will end with the bag that says Happy Valentine's Day.  If you're interested in doing this....I have numbers 1-14 and the Happy Valentine's Day label so you can start whenever.....count up.....just do whatever and however you want to do it.

Thanks for sharing your numbers! I just printed them out and hot glued them to my kids' snowflake good behavior countdown (for homeschool). Pinning this as well :)
XOXO
