At 3 months.
I can't believe our baby is 3 months old today! The days are so much faster than they were with Parker.
I must admit....I find myself daydreaming of the days when she will be older....when she will be able to sit up and crawl and walk and play with her sister.....and when she will sleep all the way through the night! But in the same thought.....I am already missing her newborn days.....when she was so little....so wobbly....so new....so sweet. Not that she's not sweet now....but newborns.....they're just different. :)
She has changed so much this past month....especially this past week! As far as her 'schedule' goes...she takes about four- 45-60 minute naps a day. I am hoping and waiting for the day that she starts taking a good morning nap, a good afternoon nap, and maybe a 30 minute catnap between 5:00 and 8:00 to hold her over. Although....I try not to 'complain' about this because it could be worse! She could not nap at all!
And just this past week....she has started consistently going down 'for good' at about 7:30 each night. Which is kind of what I was hoping for because then I am free to deal with Parker and all of her shenanigans in getting her in her bed and keeping her there! :)
As far as how long she will stay down after she is down 'for good' is different each night. The past 2 nights she's been up at 12:30 and again at 4 or 5! That's too much! Not just because I am tired....but I think she is big enough and she has slept straight until 4 or 5 on several occasions....which makes me think that she really doesn't need to also eat at 12:30 or 1. So I've been telling her all day (like she can understand me)...that if she gets up at 12:30 tonight....I'm going to just see if she'll put herself back to sleep. We'll see!
She is really such a good baby. Now that she isn't really having her fussy time in the evenings....she really only cries if she's tired, hungry, or gassy. :) She's really good if I need to put her in her bouncy seat, or swing, or play gym or even just on a blanket on the floor.
She likes to sit up with support, bears some weight on her legs, she can lift her head 90 degrees while on her belly, squeals with delight sometimes when she sees us, 'talks' back to us some, and she can keep her head level with her body when I pull her to sitting.
She smiles so much and it never gets old....melts my heart every time. I love kissing her squishy cheeks. I just love her to pieces.
Here is a look back at how she's grown!
