Back to the sewing machine.

Other than sewing a few small bean bags for Parker to play with about a month ago....I haven't sewn a thing since I finished Grace's quilt.

But now....I think I have finally decided on this fabric for Parker's quilt......

Pictured above are all of the different fabrics in this collection....and I really like most of them. There are a few of the designs that I will try to leave out..... but these are the colors I had envisioned in my head: the light pink, hot pink, the greens, turqoise, the yellows and yellowish-orang-y colors, and the grays. I'm really into the color gray right now for some reason.

I also think I have a plan for her walls. I want to make a sketch or something just to put the idea onto paper...and if I ever get around to doing that, I'll share. But basically....there will be one wall that will have a 'design'....and the other three walls will be some shade of gray. I think. ;)

And I think I have decided on a pattern....you can go here if you want to see it. I would make a few changes....as there are a few things in there that I don't know how to do (like a hidden seam????)....and I would also add length to both sides to make it twin size.

I'm getting excited, though. I really enjoyed making Grace's quilt....and I look forward to finishing Parker's because I think in some ways she is old enough to understand and somewhat appreciate it now.....whereas, Grace will appreciate it later! At least I hope. ;)
