DIY - Displaying Instagram Photos

It started out as an old frame I bought from IKEA.  We put it in the back end....and upon opening the back door....slipped out and shattered the glass.

And so in an effort to make lemonade from lemons...I came up with this....

I have seen several ideas similar to this for displaying photos from here and here.

I wanted a way to display my phone photos and be able to change them out as needed and thought this would be perfect.  It took me a while to complete it because I was trying to find a staple gun to staple the picture wire to the back of the frame.  Only- I never found one.  But good news!  I just used the brads (is this the right word?) that came on the back of the frame.

Then I needed a way to print my instagram photos.  I used Printstagram.  They turned out perfect and really cute (and they also offer some other really cute things to do with instagram photos), but I will probably never use them again- at least not for these.  It took almost 4 weeks to get them (shipped from Japan!!) and they are a little pricey.  I think there are some cheaper ways to order prints that I will do in the future.  But I do love how this turned out.

One of my favorites.....mine and Grace's shadow....

And now our kitchen gallery wall is almost complete!  ;)

UPDATE: I now order my pictures from the app PostalPix and love it!  It's so easy to upload and at an affordable price.  You just upload your pictures, order, and receive them in just a few days!  I also love the new look.

What a great idea! I've been trying to figure out how to display my son's artwork. He draws a lot and he's very proud of the work he does in art class. A larger version of this would work really well.
