Baby's First PB&J....

So I know this post may seem a bit ridiculous to some....it is actually a bit ridiculous to me. But for some reason- this moment....the first time she ever tasted a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich was a big deal to me. First of all, I was paranoid about the whole peanut thing... how it is forbidden for at least the first year of life...and then all of this talk about allergies you hear on the news from time to time...so I just built this moment up in my head a bit. These pictures are from last night. It was just Parker and I....and before I finally decided that I was going to go through with it ("go through with it"....I'm acting like this is a life-altering decision here...), I even thought, "Will Geoff be upset that I am giving her her first peanutbutter and jelly sandwich without him?" Of course- he was not (he's been wanting to give her peanutbutter for a while now)....but this is just an example of why I have made this such a monumental milestone in Parker's life. Borderline ridiculous....as I said before...and I am not afraid to admit it! So- in honor of this ridiculousness....I thought it all too fitting to blog about it....

THE sandwich....

Her first "lick" of the sandwich...no "biting into" has occurred just yet...

"But I'm liking it so far...."

First bite....

Second bite.....

Looking at her sandwich with 2 bites gone and thinking..."I think I like this??......"

Now we're in business....
(and why does she feel the need to get her mouth so full?? I mean...it really scares me sometimes!)

"I think I'm done....poke me with a fork!"

She did good.... this was all that was left....
...and that made me sooo happy!

You know how to make a neat PB&J. Jelly always seems to be falling off of mine, which is probably why Jackson isn't a fan.
