Nolan @ 7 weeks

Nolan is 7 weeks old!!  Oh my goodness.  Can't believe it.

It's kind of hard to do a recap of the week...because what our days look like now...are so different just 6 days ago.....and I can't remember 6 days ago.  Haha!

So I'll write about how it's been the past few days.  :)

He's been eating about every 2-3 hours during the day (mostly every TWO hours).  And for the past few days...I've gotten him in bed between 8 and 9pm...and he sleeps til around 2 or 3am....and then wakes up agin between 6 and 7am.  Not too shabby.  :)

Yesterday and today I'd say were some of our better days.  He was awake a lot more....but the difference in these days than previous days....is that he wasn't too fussy during his awake time.  That has been really nice.

Napping.  I've had trouble getting him to take a morning nap consistently.  If I'm not holding him...he ends up in the swing so I can get some stuff done around the house or get ready for the day (or a lot of times takes short naps in the car while I'm running the girls somewhere).  A few days I have gotten him to take a good afternoon nap.  And by good I mean....a 3 hour nap!  I could get used to that.  If I had to pick between a good morning nap or a good afternoon nap for him...I'd definitely pick the afternoon nap....because by that time we're all a little more tired.  And so it's nice to have hands to spend some time with the girls, pick up, or even get dinner prepared.

I also have to mention that I've been so spoiled by having Geoff home every evening.  He's working a different schedule for a couple of weeks and it's been more of a 'normal' type schedule...and it has been SO nice.  So thankful for this time.  If you've been reading along for a while...you know that Geoff and I work opposite schedules to be home with our kids...and so with that...we are 'single parents' on a our days off....doing it all on our own, rarely together.  So being home on maternity leave PLUS his 'normal' schedule for a couple of weeks....well....we are just really enjoying that time together.  So much easier (dare I say).
We're all happier!
