the dentist

I grew up going to the dentist. A lot.  So- like for many people- it's not my favorite thing.  :)
The good thing is- I have a really good dentist now that I trust and who does great work.  And more importantly- I love my hygienist, too.

All of this to say....no excuses....until yesterday- I had not ever taken Parker (who is almost 6) to the dentist!  Eeek!  Needless to say- I was a little nervous as to what we would find.

And was so so very thankful that she got a good report!  What a relief.  A blessing!  ;)

Sweet girl before we were called back.  I think she was a little nervous, but Payton (my niece) had already been so we had given her a very vivid description of what to expect (Parker likes for us to tell her step-by-step what to expect in almost all things).  She knew she did not want to have cavities though!

Like I mentioned before...I love our hygienist and I don't make appointments unless I can be seen by her.  Here- Parker is picking out her toothpaste flavor.  She chose bubblegum.

She counted her teeth.  All 20 were there.  And...her 2 front bottom teeth are loose.  I can't believe I have a kid old enough to lose her teeth!!  She also told us to expect her to get her 6-year molars soon.  She's just growing up.

And she did great with the teeth brushing.  It tickled her teeth and she was giggling most of the time.  I don't remember my trips to the dentist ever being fun when I was little.  :)

We left with some fluoride toothpaste, a new toothbrush, and a piece of peach trident gum (Parker's favorite).  Now....if only all of her dental appointments will go this well.  :)
