It won't be this way for long.

I have to admit.......there are days that I look around this house...

at this.....

and this....

and this.....

and this....

and this....

and this.....

and this.....

and this....
Oh wait!! Nevermind! This is my mess!! (that has now, thankfully, made it's way out of our dining room and into the office/craft room)

And I get frustrated.....want to pull my hair out...... and wonder why....no matter how much I clean.....no matter how much I pick up.....there is just always this "stuff" laying around!!!

Then.....

I quickly remind myself that..... it won't be this way for long.

That one day..... I'll miss this.

And that I am..... blessed beyond measure.

Totally understand those pics! And if it makes you feel better, my house is usually WAY more messy from my kiddo...and I only have one to keep up after right now! Throw in re-doing his room and a new nursery which means all the furniture and craft materials are piled in the dining room...totally stressful! :)

I understand too! What a great reminder to cherish the moments- even amidst the messes!

The other night the boys were in bed and the house was quiet. I let Rigley outside and as I was waiting for him to take care of his business, I was looking at our backyard and thinking about what a mess it was! Balls were everywhere, the porch was covered in sidewalk chalk, bikes and little 4 wheelers were randomly sitting in the yard....just a mess! At first I thought to myself, I cannot wait until this can just be a pretty backyard....but then I started to get sad and realized that one day the boys won't want to come outside to play together. They will be 'out' or in their rooms or at college...or married..... :( So, for now, I will enjoy the 'mess.'
Great post!

Wow you took the words right out of my mouth. I feel like that on a daily basis...where does all this stuff come from!? But you are so right, it won't be for long. And I'd much rather have it around than not, that's for sure :-)

Every time my parents walk in the house... they ask "does a child live here?"
Too many toys... and yet, they don't seem to be enough for her!!
Enjoy the mess!
